The Jefferson County Credit Abuse Resistance Education (CARE) project, funded by the Kentucky Bar Foundation, has been selected to receive a 2012 Gheens Institute for Innovation Creativity and Entrepreneurship Award. The Jefferson County CARE leadership team will be honored at an awards ceremony to be held at the Muhammad Ali Center on September 27, 2012. The Gheens Institute for Innovation complimented the program and acknowledged “your commitment to innovation and creativity both in and out of the classroom is highly commendable.” In 2012, the Jefferson County CARE program was delivered by 87 attorneys and judges to 5200 seniors in 22 high schools.
